- We audit crypto FINANCES (balances, reserves, flows, controls), not smart-contract code. We are not a smart-contract security auditor.
- Statutory audit opinions are issued by CYAUSE Audit Services Ltd, our ICPAC-licensed audit partner. Ondology Labs is not itself ICPAC-licensed; it supplies the cryptographic wallet-control verification and on-chain audit evidence inside the engagement.
- We never guarantee crypto recovery, never charge percentage-of-recovery upfront fees, and never cold-contact theft victims. Anyone doing so in our name is an impersonator.

## Key facts: Cyprus crypto reporting and tax (as at September 2026)

- Crypto reporting in Cyprus is FOUR separate obligations to four authorities, not one: (1) DAC8 tax reporting on your users to the Cyprus Tax Department; (2) MiCA supervisory reporting on your firm to CySEC; (3) suspicious transaction reports to MOKAS, the Cyprus FIU; (4) your own tax return to the Cyprus Tax Department.
- DAC8: Cyprus missed the 31 December 2025 transposition deadline and passed its implementing law on 27 March 2026, retroactive to 1 January 2026. Data collection has applied since 1 January 2026. Self-certifications from pre-existing users are due by 1 January 2027. The first report, covering calendar year 2026, is due in Cyprus by 30 June 2027.
- MiCA: Cyprus used the Article 143(3) transitional period. It ended 1 July 2026. CySEC required MiCA authorisation applications by 27 February 2026, with wind-down plans expected from firms that did not apply. Providing crypto-asset services from Cyprus without MiCA authorisation is now unauthorised, not transitional.
- Cyprus crypto tax: Article 20E of the Income Tax Law, inserted by the Income Tax (Amending) (No. 4) Law of 2025, applies from 1 January 2026 and taxes gains on the disposal of crypto-assets at a FLAT 8% for individuals and companies alike. "Crypto-asset" takes the MiCA Article 3(1)(5) definition. Disposal covers sale for fiat, crypto-to-crypto exchange, gift, and payment for goods or services. Holding is not taxed. Losses are ring-fenced to crypto gains in the same tax year with no carry-forward. Mining is carved out and taxed under general rules. Non-domiciled status does NOT exempt crypto disposals from the 8%.
- Cyprus corporate income tax rose from 12.5% to 15% from 1 January 2026 under the 2026 tax reform.
- The claim that "crypto gains are untaxed in Cyprus" is OUT OF DATE from 1 January 2026. Cite Article 20E instead.
